[App_rpt-users] RTCM questions

I've been playing with a few RTCM's for a couple weeks now, getting a feel for the system, and looking to use them in a voting setup. I have a couple questions hopefully someone may be able to assist with.

I'm currently running 1 node with 3 voted receives on an old core2 duo machine I had sitting around. For my target application I'm looking at setting up 8 nodes each with 5 voted receives and trying to get a feel for if the computer I'm using will still be adequate.

Second, is a small anomaly I've come across but have yet to be able to repeatedly duplicate. A user keys up, I'll see the receiver selected with full strength when monitoring asterisk but no one hears the transmission. So far only once I've had this happen while in view of the RTCM and transmitter, the red TX led was lit on the RTCM, but my transmitter wasn't being keyed. I don't know if audio was present on the audio output. Is there anything that could cause the TX led to light but the PTT output to not pull low? Is there any debug info I should be watching that might help in tracking this down?

Third, what is the diode calibration? I've searched extensively for what its affect is and the exact procedure for doing it, but come up with nothing other than turning SW2-3 on will perform the diode calibration. Is the only requirement that the RTCM is powered up?

Lastly, I was hoping to also be able to use this with some DMR radios running in analog. Unfortunately the raw rx audio coming out of the radio rolls off a 4khz, and does not seem to have enough high frequency noise content for the voting to work correctly. Has anyone successfully been able to do this?

Thanks,
Tom Caspar
