Could being the operative word.  Considering lots of people have no
bloody idea what good audio sounds like, how to set levels ("What do you
mean, I shouldn't bounce the VU meter indicator off the right hand
stop?") let alone how limiting, compression, pre/de-emphasis, average
modulation level, modulation indices, etc all interact...and then throw
in the pee-poor codec, hacked together applications, and variable
internet connectivity...

All you have to do is listen to the pedantic and tiring discussion over
audio quality on the trbo list and whether or not to use AGC, setting
levels using an ephemeral LED VU meter with a webcam on it...and you'd
quickly 1) tire of the discussion, and 2) give thanks to whatever deity
(or not) that Allstar is as good as it is.  End even with blatant,
clear, and simple-to-follow directions...people still futz it up.
