Once you get a bit more familiar with the software and read a bit more
about it's capabilities, then perhaps you can answer your own
questions... but in the meantime, check into 'scheduling', 'iax' and
'macros'.

Once a macro is set in rpt.conf you can dial it with a (as few as) 3
digit code, the first two being the standard macro access command. ;-)

If there's another allstar node you wish to connect to all the time (to
link the nodes together) see 'startup macro'.

Lots of information out there, but basically, it's this:
Allstar is the radio/repeater control software with the ability to
link. It's not 'end-user' stuff, and there are no 'phone apps' to
access it from the 'end user' side of things. The "end user" in this
type of setup, is the radio/repeater User (and you don't want -them-
with access to your castle! That's what the moat and drawbridge are
for, right? ;-) ) As the System Operator/Administrator, -you- have the
keys to your castle and can do with it as you please.

Allstar is fun, very technical, challenging (most times) in finding good
documentation and all around does an awesome job in linking two
radios/repeaters or combinations thereof together.
