*IF* you want to use the software to decode ctcss then yes, carrierfrom=dsp.
Also, Luis, you need to turn -OFF- ctcss send/receive on the repeater.
I use the data port on a TM-V7a. 9600 baud out is discriminator audio.
So, I set usbradio.conf for
flat audio, carrier from usb. ctcssfrom dsp
here's my vhf simplex usbradio.conf
hwtype=0
rxboost=1
txboost=2
rxctssrelax=1
txtcssdefault=136.5
rxctcssfreqs=136.5
txctcssfreqs=136.5
carrierfrom=usb
ctcssfrom=dsp
rxdemod=flat
txprelim=no
txlimonly=no
txtoctype=notone
txmixa=composite
txmixb=composite
invertptt=0
duplex=0
rxondelay=0
rxnoisefiltype=0
eeprom=0
(anyone, feel free to critique... I know I don't know all there is to
know about how this 'magic' is setup... and there's still not clear-cut
documentation *anywhere* on this stuff (what happens, if you set this
value to 'x', and what function is enabled/disabled is 'y' is set to one
of 4 different states, etc...) but, suppose the day we quit learning,
is the day we start dying - so continue the confusion!
