[App_rpt-users] Voter project budgeting

I'm working on various options for a voter project for the local club. One
of the choices is of course using AllStar. I've used RTCM's in the past but
in non-voting applications. I need to make sure I capture all of the items
(other than receivers, antennas, etc) related to make voting happen via
AllStar.

RTCM per remote receiver site.
Internet access at remote receiver site (or private LAN if also available
at server site)
AllStar server at some site to perform the voting (possibly at TX site)
RTCM at the TX location (also used for one of the voting receivers)
GPS connected to the "master" TX RTCM (only one needed per system, right?)
Internet access at the TX site if voting from there or RF one way link
from server if not

Additionally, what is the realistic time delay to be expected between input
audio/keying and the repeater TX audio/keying? If it's 3/4 to 1 second,
seems like everyone will hear the last few syllables they uttered after
they unkey. I know that annoys me and anticipate the club members won't
like it either.

Has anyone developed a PC, RPi, BBB based voter to replace the GE,
Motorola, JPS, Doug Hall, LDG systems? Maybe with some external audio stuff
to go with the voter logic?

Thanks for any and all input
