Hi Pete,

I'm familiar with Nodeshark.

You just need to go to Edit->Preferences->Target and set Archivedir to the
parent folder of the node number folder. For example, in my case, I use
"c:\qso". The Archivedir setting would point to that folder. Underneath
that folder, I have a folders "2541" and "27380" which are my Allstar Node
numbers. Note that you point Archivedir to the "c:\qso" and not the node
number sub-folder. Nodeshark will populate the Node pulldown list with the
sub-folder names. That takes care of the Archivedir setting.

Then you go Edit->Preferences->Backup and set the IP address of your
Allstar system, the SSH port number, login, password, remote path, and
local path. As before, local path will be (in my case) "c:\qso". Remote
path is set exactly the same as you have set "archivedir" in *rpt.conf*.

At this point you should be good. Click "OK" and then be sure to do
File->Save Preferences. Quit Nodeshark and restart it.

All of this info and a lot more is in the Nodeshark User's Guide v0.95 on
the Nodeshark Download page. For instance, in the UG, I highly recommend
you first get PuTTY's PSCP working between your Windoze system and the
Allstar system. Nodeshark uses PSCP to do the sync (and remote command
execution) and there are a few potential gotcha's with getting PSCP setup
the first time (e.g. the Win PATH variable).

I should probably re-zip the Nodeshark v0.96 archive to include the
Nodeshark v0.95 Users Guide. I did all this stuff a number of years ago
when we were all more Internet bandwidth conscious and the UG is a whopping
1.2MB! ;^)

73's,

Keith
