[App_rpt-users] RTCM Mix-station RSSI Indication

Interesting... a bit more detail. 

The RTCM RSSI performs as expected with the same receiver if in a voter configuration. In mix, binary operation only. I failed previously to mention that the mix station is a disparate node, not part of the voter group node. The RTCM also interfaces with the CTCSS status line of the receiver. 

Tim, are you operating with a similar configuration for your mix node? 

As stated before, if the squelch is open, irrespective of SNR, only 255 is displayed. I’m thinking that if the discriminator has poor resolution, the squelch circuit wouldn’t function at all. Aside from RSSI indication, behavior is as expected. 

I wonder if there is a setting which causes this unintended result?
