While I am not entirely clear to what the final objective is,

 From what I gather though, you are looking for statistical data from 
your nodes ???

If so, why not install allmon on your nodes and get the data from 
anywhere in a web browser.

Sorry  if I'm not reading you right. But Allmon is the #1 tool for info 
and 'control'.

But I'm not going to discourage you from building a better mousetrap if 
you want.

With the log-in admin that can't be shown here, you can 
connect/disconnect and view all stats.
