The stats server is provided for everyone's use, by directly looking at it.
What this means any automated use via a scripts/polling/embedding is not
permitted without prior agreement.  Open it up and look at it in a browser
as much as you want, but anything automated is not-permitted.

Stats is an optional service, it is not necessary for any of the core ASL
services and linking.  With ~5000 nodes all hitting stats anytime there's an
event, it's processing 500-600 updates per second.  This actually is fine
and preforms well.  What loads the server down is graph generation, and when
coupled with requests for new graphs for all nodes every second (yes we've
seen this), it falls over making 5000 PNGs on the fly.

If you have an automated need to use it, please email the help desk and
describe what you want to do.
