[App_rpt-users] Reminder: Netiquette (second warning)

All,
To clarify.

This warning was sent publicly due to the continued mudslinging,
harassment, spamming and other behavior that is cited in the post.

PeteM's latest message is what triggered this moderation warning.  It was
done preemptively due to the perceived inflammatory nature of their post.

The first warning back in January was not well heeded by certain
individuals (of which PeteM is not the only one).  Instead of putting them
on moderation or banning them, a second public reminder was opted for
instead.  If these individuals continue to ignore this message they will
be put on moderation resulting in all their posts being reviewed for
approval.  Putting users on moderation is not a decision that is taken 
lightly or that we wish to do.

Several users have asked on occasion for the mudslinging to be taken off
list.  This has been ignored.

Discussions, criticisms, et all are welcome as they are part of the normal
discourse of a healthy community.  Harassment, mudslinging, spamming, and
general disruptive behavior is not.

app_rpt-users is a mailing list dedicated to discussing the operational
and technical aspects of using the app_rpt software in Asterisk to link
radios and repeaters, and to ham radio in general.

app_rpt-users IS NOT a list for personal vendettas, grinding of axes,
spamming, harassment of other users, trolling, etc.

If you feel you cannot be courteous to your fellow hams and abide by the
rules, then please unsubscribe.

All are welcome to this list as it is a public resource for the community
– this includes AllStarLink, PTTLink, and others.  It is considered 
network and system agnostic.

The PTTLink Admin Team are the current administrators of this list.
However, we realize that this is not the PTTLink list as stated above.  It 
is for that very reason that a separate dedicated PTTLink mailing list was 
created.

Please feel free to reply to this message if you have any further
questions or send an email to the helpdesk at pttlink.org if you would rather
have a private reply.

The recent discussions on this list are not in the spirit of the guidelines for
operational and technical content discussion.

The repeated verbatim cross posting of publicly available statements from other
organizations, spamming, harassment, and the back and forth mudslinging are not
the type of lively discission this list is meant for.

Users who continue to engage in such action may have their posts placed under
moderation for review pending release or banned.

This is your second and last warning.
