The plan is to reduce the number of components needed to build the gateway. ircDDBGateway, D-StarGateway and the DV3000u would be the simplest method of building a D-Star <---> AllStar Gateway. The UDRC does add D-Star to a existing Yaesu Fusion repeater. It's a very nice product and I have a channel driver that I think will work with it. Either way will work. If you emulate or better yet modify Dummy Repeater and feed the PCM to USRP you are good to go.

I just wanted express my interest in the project, and being that I have no programming experience it's out of my hands for now. I would like to learn, however time is the major factor there too.
