Hello Again, I saw that DMR-MARC is keeping a database and issuing subscriber ID's. I signed up for one and got it. "3107094" Do we need this from them?? David Link: http://dmr-marc.net/
David, Yes, You need at least 1 ID per ham. Some people have more then 1, if they have 2 or more radios. I just have 1. I have been known to use my wife's for testing. On 12/06/2015 10:48 AM, David KE6UPI wrote:

I've had a number of people ask if the DV4Mini is going to require DMRGateway. They are 2 separate projects both dealing with DMR. The DV4Mini in DMR mode works today with the DMRPlus network. That is both on a DMRPlus Master and the Brandmiester Master. There are gateways that provide a connection from DMRPlus to Mototrbo networks. I'm using that gateways code to connect our Mototrbo network to DMRPlus so we can talk to the users on that network. The software that comes with the DV4Mini has problems. I have heard that it's network problems or it's the software running on the host machine. Some people sound good for a transmission, then it falls apart. Repeaters on the network or repeaters using the gateway sound fine. I expect over time the bugs will shake out. Mike and I decided to dump both the host software and the master software. Basically, start from scratch. What we are doing is a staged build. We are starting with a "echo server" One DV4Mini running on a RPi2. What the DV4Mini hears it stores and repeats. It's a parrot. The next step is point to point. 2 users, 2 DV4Mini and 2 RPi2. the 2 RPi are connected by the Internet. Mike in Ga and me in Fl. No servers. Next, add the server so that 3 or more people can carry on a QSO. From there provide a gateway to a IPSC network. Early stages of the code are new and being tested now. They have no relationship to the work we are doing on DMRGateway. In time as we move to creating the gateway, The DV4Mini will be able to connect to DMRGateway and on into AllStar or out into the IPSC network. DMRlink and DMRgateway will then come back into play. You can test the DV4 mini with connecting it to an Brandmeisterserver, the only thing you have to do is adding this rule in your hosts file.in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc open de hosts file and add 185.79.71.94 ham-dmr.de Easier is to use the hosts editor app coming with this posting. You can add then the line in the hosts file with the app, go to tools and enter Flush after that close the editor and save. Startup now the DV4.go to expert settings and choose from the list a BM Master server MASTER 2041 or any other.server. When you want to go back to DMR+ start the hosts editor remove the V tag in front of the (hosts file) new BM line, go then to tools choose Flush then exit and save. Start your DV4 app and you are back to DMR+ don't forget to set back your MASTER DMR+ server in the expert settings, to the one you are using before. To go back to BM place the V tag in front of the line , save ,Exit and startup BM app. Enviado con MailTrack <https://mailtrack.io/install?source=signature&lang=es&referral=ea8ee1@gmail.com&idSignature=23> [image: logo] *Jose Manuel Martinez* *EA8EE* Whatsapp: +34692112495 | Telegram :@ea8ee | +967961389 <fax:+967961389> | ea8ee@me.com | http://www.radioclubfaycanes.es | Skype: ea8ee1 <#> | ED8ZAB-R XRF007B | http://brandmeister.pd0zry.ampr.org/lh/ <http://plus.google.com/ea8ee1> <http://www.facebook.com/groups/dstar.spain/> <http://www.facebook.com/groups/BrandmeisterDMR/> Radionoticias El vídeo del sábado <http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Radio-Noticias/~3/qMVcclU2CMw/midland-d200-pmr446-analogico-y-digital-05122015.html> Latest Tweet: <https://twitter.com/ea8ee> Buenos dias y feliz domingo de pruebas en el servidor DMR Brandmeister Read More <https://twitter.com/ea8ee/statuses/673424514290700288> <https://twitter.com/ea8ee> ✔ Get a Signature like this: Click Here! <http://ws-promos.appspot.com/r?rdata=eyJydXJsIjogImh0dHA6Ly93d3cud2lzZXN0YW1wLmNvbS9lbWFpbC1pbnN0YWxsP3dzX25jaWQ9NjcyMjk0MTIwJnV0bV9zb3VyY2U9ZXh0ZW5zaW9uJnV0bV9tZWRpdW09ZW1haWwmdXRtX2NhbXBhaWduPXByb21vXzU3MTM1NzMyNTA1OTY4NjQiLCAiZSI6ICI1NzEzNTczMjUwNTk2ODY0In0=> 2015-12-06 17:23 GMT+00:00 Steve Zingman <szingman@msgstor.com>:

David, It's both the hardware and software. Yesterday Mile and I worked with the BrandMiester people to make a connection from DMRlink to BrandMiester. For the first part of the testing you are now able to connect to BrandMiester 4639 with your DV4M and it's current software. You will hear your audio come through 2100. To connect your DV4M to BrandMiester, you need to perform the host file edit detailed below. This will move your DV4M from DMRPlus to BrandMiester. The edit will work on linux as well as Windows. The location of the host file is /etc/hosts. We are writing new software to REPLACE the current DV4M software, at least the DMR part. The software will allow a DV4M to connect directly with DMRlink. From there, you can use the bridging function to go anywhere DMRlink can take you. Steve On 12/11/2015 06:19 PM, David KE6UPI wrote:
