Is it possible to have a connection to brandmeister using dmrlink?
Yes it is possible. We are doing that on 2100. Contact your BM host and tell them to make it look like the connection from 311221 have this in your peer connection: AUTH_ENABLED = False AUTH_KEY: Steve On 01/24/2016 03:46 PM, Robert Newberry wrote:

Steve, I was told to contact w4wwm he in turn told me to get on this openquad irc server. From there I talked to Rudy PD0RZY he was skeptical it would work and said I'd have lots of problems. I figured I'd better check back here. I will try what you advised. Working with BM is such fun. As I said. Tell him to set it up exactly like 311221 which is connected as we speak. It is DMRlink and is working fine. On 01/24/2016 07:50 PM, Robert Newberry wrote:

W4wwm is who gave me the access info and told me to have fun. Not that many in the Irc chat but they would like to see people stop by there. Really from what I have seen it is really just the bm guys in there chatting and then they go to team speak from there. This is really go to be a big learning curve. That is why I was hoping if we had a couple of dmrlinks running we could just peer to them. Sent from my iPhone

We can do it that way but having multiple people connected to BM provides some redundancy. Going forward, I may be able to get someone to provide a c-bridge connection to BM and then we don't have to deal with them. If Will is just giving out access, it may not require the BM "team" to set anything up. Artem, care to comment? Steve On 01/24/2016 08:03 PM, Corey Dean wrote:

OK Steve, looks like I've gotten the green light. I see on the status page 311221 is setup and says smartpttbridge. So I have a few questions on the TG and TS for routing in my bridge. I'm a little confused because it seems like on the HT/mobile I'd program my radio for TS2/TG9. I'd be mainly interested in reflector 4639. If I want TS1 that looks more straightforward. USA is TS1/TG3 Would I just set my bridge rules up for TS2/TG9 would I just set my radio up for the appropriate private call, then to select the reflector pick the private call, hit ptt, then switch radio back to TS2/TG9? I feel like I'm missing something...? Thank you again. I've really been enjoying this. I would setup TS2/TG9 to start. Use the private call to select reflectors. If that works for you. When they set us up, they routed 4639 to 3100 to us. We have not asked to get that changed since it works. We will in the future explore other options. Work with what they give you then try to change it once you understand what is going on. Ok great Steve, So this may seem dumb, I understand setting up TS2/TG9 in my bridge rules. How does a private call get handled. I assume for any potential reflector I would use that would have to be setup in the bridge rules. If I understand things dmrlink will not know what to do with that private call. Unless Rudy has changed it, 4639 is currently mapped to 3100. This will not work on the U.S. on most C-Bridges including ours. 3100 conflicts with the "bridge" talkgroup on DCI. I've mentioned this, but I am unsure if they will be able or willing to change it. Another friend of mine mapped his to a different tg, which will work, but roaming between systems can get messy. We bridge 3100 from BM to TG9. DMRlink allows us to do that and keep 3100 from DCI on 3100. Good to know we are not the only ones that have the BM mapping. Steve On 1/25/2016 9:54 AM, Stephen - K1LNX wrote:
Unless Rudy has changed it, 4639 is currently mapped to 3100. This will not work on the U.S. on most C-Bridges including ours. 3100 conflicts with the "bridge" talkgroup on DCI.
I've mentioned this, but I am unsure if they will be able or willing to change it. Another friend of mine mapped his to a different tg, which will work, but roaming between systems can get messy.

So I have a few questions on the TG and TS for routing in my bridge. I'm a little confused because it seems like on the HT/mobile I'd program my radio for TS2/TG9. I'd be mainly interested in reflector 4639.
If I want TS1 that looks more straightforward. USA is TS1/TG3
Would I just set my bridge rules up for TS2/TG9 would I just set my radio up for the appropriate private call, then to select the reflector pick the private call, hit ptt, then switch radio back to TS2/TG9?
I feel like I'm missing something...?
Thank you again. I've really been enjoying this.

OK I'm confused because from talking to Rudy. He literally said just try it. When I mentioned to set me up like 311221 his reply was in seconds and said ok try it...? I guess I'm going to have to "try it" and report back to him if things don't work. I seem to be getting conflicting information from Rudy and here, I have more confidence in the information coming from this list! You guys are doing things that Rudy appears to not know about. I guess this is just part of the BM fun! I'm at work and won't get to try this until later this evening. N1XBM Apparare Scientor Paratus Communicare Allstar Node # 27086, 41540, 41812, 42086, 42658
I would just try it. Create a bridge from TG 3100 to TG9 in both directions. IF it is truly setup like 311221, you should be on 4639. I'll setup a test instance when I get time with a different valid repeater ID. On 1/25/2016 10:06 AM, Robert Newberry wrote:
