[App_rpt-users] QUESTION on making a receive only node

Hello all we would like to extend our repeater receive area by putting in a receive site but with a different PL tone . we have an area that we lose HT coverage but can hear it fine from the main tx of the repeater site. . Could i just buy a USB FOB CM108 and not mod it and just plug in the speaker from the radio into the Mic of the dongle? Thanks for your help
