I have been able to get installs working using a Linksys USB ethernet adapter which does seem to be recognized.. Then after all the updates and patching is done, if it still does not recognize the onboard NIC, go fetch the appropriate drivers for it. I use this on a lot of newer boards that have newer NIC chips not supported in the default install library of the install disk.. To get my eee PC to work I needed to get the drivers for the network port off the net. I used Google to find it. I booted up off the USB external cd rom and started the install. It all stops when Allstar wants to connect to the internet, but the network port is not enabled. I cannot get passed this point. How can I get the Asus eee to enable it's network port when booting up?
