I got the same thing here in Chrome. Clicked on the shield and authorize the script, map appears, go to my location, double click and it just zooms in more. No numbers appear in the lat/long window. Since so many are having problems with this why not just refer to a site that will do this and then you bring the numbers back and it allows manual entry. I found my lat/long in seconds with this link. I am sure there are many others out there also. http://universimmedia.pagesperso-orange.fr/geo/loc.htm 73 Doug WA3DSP http://www.crompton.com/hamradio

Thanks for the tip about the shield Gary. That got me farther than ever before. I can now see the map, double clicking drills down to the right place in my yard. But I never get coordinates and still can't put them in by hand. (Chrome in Linux)
BTW: The gps.conf file appears to only be for APRS and has never made any change to the web site for me.

Doug,
Had the same issue, the map DOES work, however most browsers won't show it as it contains a unauthenticated script within an https session.
If your using Chrome, on the right, you should see a little "Shield" to the left of the favorites star, just click it and select "load unsafe script"
