All, Thank you for the replies! Great info. I have an ACID node up and running on my backyard repeater (node#28304). With webmin it is really easy to manage. Of course the curiosity got me when I started seeing XIPAR when searching for app_rpt and ACID. I have downloaded the XIPAR distro and plan to setup a virtual to compare the 2. There are NO bad questions to ask.
(By the by, that was attempt at humor...as the decision as to which one to run (or continue) running can sometime engender vigorous discussion...)
As Mr. Zimmerman pointed out, there are bells and whistles in one, gummy bears in the other...in the end, they come from the same code base, so, some things are in common. Some things not.
Like Coke (tm) and Pepsi (tm). Both have essence of cola nuts. one has ingredient 7x. The other doesn't...I'm a ginger ale guy myself, so no dog in that hunt.
And there is cross fertilization on some levels.
One thing we're agreed on is that IRLP is old technology..;)
