Hi Bob - KK6ECM, Zoiper's very brief *99 tone bursts for the PTT never consistently got decoded on my node. Using vox mode and the mute button as you suggest solves that issue very nicely. Thanks for posting this excellent solution. Greg WB7UBC

I think it is easier to setup VOX in extensions.conf (use Pv instead of P), then just use the mute button as your PTT.
