I am not sure what you mean by "just copy over" If the you are connecting to the same radio the setup for audio levels should remain the same so you could use the same file. The URI's should be matched within a few percent on audio levels so swapping URI's should not matter. It is the radio you need to match. 73 Doug WA3DSP http://www.crompton.com/hamradio From: kk6ecm@gmail.com To: doug@crompton.com CC: app_rpt-users@ohnosec.org Subject: RE: [App_rpt-users] usbradio to simpleusb Date: Sat, 26 Apr 2014 22:12:19 -0700 Very good. Since I’m using the same USB device, can I just copy over the settings for simpleusb? Trying this approach because I discovered PL was generated in the radio. The PL for RX and TX must be in the radio. The radios squelch is used. So just worry about what needs to be setup in simpleusb. You need RX and TX audio, PTT and COS. You can select whether PTT and/or COS are inverted. Otherwise there is not much to setup. Just run the simpleusb audio setup and you should be good to go. If you can use simpleusb it works very well. I use it exclusively and so do many others I know who run Allstar. Probably the reason more people don't run it is because usbradio is the default config and it requires a COS signal. Some people just like complication. I do not! 73 Doug WA3DSP http://www.crompton.com/hamradio From: kk6ecm@gmail.com To: app_rpt-users@ohnosec.org Date: Sat, 26 Apr 2014 21:15:01 -0700 Subject: Re: [App_rpt-users] usbradio to simpleusb When moving from usbradio to simpleusb, I noticed there are more inputs in usbradio_tune... compared to simpleusb_tune. What is the usbradio “rxvoiceadj,” and why is it not used in simpleusb? thanks, Bob kk6ecm _______________________________________________ App_rpt-users mailing list App_rpt-users@ohnosec.org http://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users To unsubscribe from this list please visit http://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
