thanks for the reply. i will play with the enc settings hopefully it will do what I want. as for the CT, I ain't much of a coder, I do wish the docs were a bit better wrote cause to a dumbdumb like me it don't explain everything well. I ain't sure how I would define things. (it is abit above me pay grade lol) truth be told, I am totally lost on how to make it happen. On Sat, 20 Jun 2015 23:27:56 -0400 mike@midnighteng.com wrote:
Sorry I don't have time to better answer more...
usbradio.conf txtoctype=no ; Transmit tone control type: no,phase, notone ; no - CTCSS tone encoding with no hang time ; phase - encode CTCSS and reverse phase ; AKA ("reverse burst") before unkeying TX ; notone - encode CTCSS and stop sending tone before unkeying TX ; AKA ("chicken burst")
You may be able to customize CT useing "ON EVENT" programming. Get info on drupal site. Write your own code/scheme.

Ordered the DMK URI (expected delivery MONDAY!) I think I got the grasp of most of the stuff. But my 2 questions
1st. CT (courtesy tones) I want CT to reflect where the signal came from. however I don't want them changing due to link state.
ie RF is ALWAYS my nextel chirp. anything coming in from echolink is always my dit dit. and say anything coming in from an allstar connection would have say a 3tone up.
anyway to define this? all I can find is about the ct changing depending on link state.
2nd. transmitted ctcss, I have a tone enc in the GE. however my enc drops after the ct, and the rest of the tx hang is non-pl'ed
(cor drops -> 500ms to ct -> 250ms TX CTCSS drops -> 2500ms ptt drops)
Is there any way to set this to where I can define when enc drops? Id like to use a pin on the URI so I can use my internal encoder.
thanks. _______________________________________________ App_rpt-users mailing list App_rpt-users@ohnosec.org http://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users
