Just curious why you are waiting? I dumped all things windows about 18 years ago, and have never looked back. I originally moved to Linux, but since have moved to OSX and Freebsd my only Linux boxes are Raspberry Pi's the move from Linux to FreeBSD revolved around licensing and the separation between base operating system and user software.. Any software that has a billion dollar business revolving around protecting built in security holes does not belong anywhere on my hardware regards.. Fred On 8/1/15 9:36 PM, Doug Crompton wrote:
Tim,
This article might help. Sounds like its time to switch to Linux! Once Win7 loses support I am headed in that direction.

Be aware before you upgrade to Windows 10. The new browser in Windows 10, Edge has no extensions support. So Java won't run and thus the Allstar Webtransceiver will not work.
Looks like there's a chance Firefox will work. Java did download but I wasn't able to get it running as a Firefox extension. Perhaps I was just missing a setting some where. Will continue to experiment.
