I have a Raspberry Pi 2 in hand now so happy to do any tests I will see what I can get together myself but if anyone has already tried on the RPi one and has any notes let me know. Additionally on the point that they are not availible in any quantity they have sold 150,000 ish already, thats is just over 48 hours and they are making 20,000 a day so I suspect that they will have surpassed the BBB on that front if not already. That being said obviously Dougs comments about the ethernet & usb are potentially a stumbling block but I think its worth a try. Skyler,
The quick answer is no, at least for the model B. The new model 2 looks more promising but I am told it still has the same Ethernet tacked to USB which is very inefficient. It also is not yet available in any quantity and any new board requires a great deal of work to get it to a production Allstar system.
The Beaglebone Black works exceptionally well and is a proven design. Granted there are some things we would like to see improved, like a faster processor and more USB ports but neither are stopping it from working at this point. If you need more USB ports use a good hub. More RAM has not been a factor since Allstar runs quite nicely in 512K.
As I mentioned before we are looking at new boards but I suspect the BBB will be supported for some time to come so it is still a good choice.

This is probably something that has been asked a lot before, but with new advances to the pi, more ram etc. I am curious if anyone has it working. A lot of people who want to set up a node keep ask me if it works on the pi. Does AllStar work on the raspberry pi for a simple node?
