If these are both simplex nodes and you are running app_rpt version 2.10, try adding rxondelay=25 >in /etc/asterisk/usbradio.conf on both nodes. Be sure to restart asterisk on both machines after making this change.

SILLY QUESTION of course it was worth updating from 208 to 210 that absolutely fixed the ping pong problem ! Tnx Ken KE2N 27021/27061 Incidentally, I notice that now the green lights on the URI modules blink in phase with each other instead of alternating ...hmmm
