Vince, I am not sure if you can install it as a new operating system on your version of the Mac but I have Centos/AllStar running on a Mac Mini using Parallels in a Virtual Machine. It works great but it does add an extra level of complexity. If Parallels will work on your machine you should be able to do it. I did load up Yellow Dog Linux on a PowerPC based Mac a number of years ago. You would need a similar PowerPC distro, and then have to compile
