Jeff, Yes it is a second server not node. It is registered as 4568. n3vsi-28366*CLI> iax2 show registry Host dnsmgr Username Perceived Refresh State 67.215.233.178:4569 N 28366 71.166.50.146:4568 60 Registered and this is what shows in rpt_extnodes: 28366=radio@71.166.50.146:4569/28366,71.166.50.146 So is it the setting at allstarlink.org that sets the inbound port or the registration process. Either way it is not working. 73 Doug WA3DSP http://www.crompton.com/hamradio

There's no need to change ports for a second node. Or do you mean a second server?
In any event, the line in your rpt.conf file that you gave below is showing port 4569 instead of 4568:
28366=radio@71.166.50.146:4569/28366,71.166.50.146
Do an iax2 show provisioning just to confirm that it's binding to the right port.
I don't think the port setting on allstarlink.org affects the database. As far as I know, it's only used if you're downloading the config to your server. I have several servers running on ports other than 4569 and I don't remember ever changing it on allstarlink.org (and I don't download the config anyway).
Later, Doug.

I am trying to help a friend with a node setup. He needs to use a different iax port as it is a second node. I have been on allstarlink.org logged into his account and the iax port is definitely set to 4568 and submitted but the nodes list comes down with 4569. I have resubmitted several times and waited for updates but no go.

Networking Configuration Hostname: N3VSI-28366 UDP Port: 4568 Type: DHCP Default is DHCP (obtain IP address automatically) IP Address: Netmask: Gateway: DNS 1: DNS 2:
For some reason the server wants to report 4569 even though the network configuration is set to 4568.
Not that it matters for this but his iax.conf port setting on this node is 4568.
Obviously there is no incoming connection capability for this node until this is solved.
Perhaps adding a new server, setting the iax port and moving this node to it might solve the problem?
