I think the usual recommendation is to use the "pool" - that is what we do. server 0.centos.pool.ntp.org server 1.centos.pool.ntp.org server 2.centos.pool.ntp.org server 3.centos.pool.ntp.org This seems to work fine. The main problem with app_rpt is if somehow you bump the time by a big step, while fobs are running.
