Was thinking it would be the cases. I want to have 2 xmiter on same freq on each side of the mont-royal in Montréal . As I dont have access to the top. --- Message initial --- De : "Ed Wilhelm" <vacuumtubesforever@gmail.com> Envoyé : 24 décembre 2013 07:12 A : app_rpt-users@ohnosec.org Objet : Re: [App_rpt-users] multicast with msr2000 The problem is the exciter. The MSR2000 is a crystal controlled radio. For simulcast you need to have a synthesized exciter that will except external reference from a GPS disciplined clock. That way all the transmitters in your system are exactly on the same frequency. If not, bad things will happen where your coverage overlaps. Hi, my vhf repeater is an msr2000. with a100 watt full duty PA.
I could have a second msr2000 with exact same exciter/receiver board but different PA.
First would a msr2000 be a good candidat for multicasting? And does the fact that we would use a different PA at each site a problem?
