Fred, I've never interfaced a MastrII, and chances are no one else has done this yet, but you should be able to find the following signals in the service manual for the mastrII: USBFOB MastrII PTT -> PTT Audio Out -> Mic Audio Audio in <- Discriminator Audio COR is not required if you connect receive audio directly to the discriminator. If you don't want to use the squelch code in chan_usbradio.c, then hook up the COR to the equivalent received signal indicator on the MastrII. Also take a look in the service manual and make sure the self-repeat mode is disabled. You want all audio and control to go through the USB fob. Also, the repeaterbuilder site has extensive information on GE MastrII radios, and goes into detail on how to interface them to a repeater controller. Steve WA6ZFT n4charlielimaalpha wrote:
Has anyone successfully connected one of the USB sound card dongles to a MastrII base station back plane successfully that can tell me exactly where to make my connections so I don't have to reinvent the wheel?
Thanks in advance.
