Alex, In a word, no it will not work. Though a VM works just fine for development or as a radio-less hub, it will not work with locally connected sound hardware. The best you can get would be using a RTCM for the radio interface. 73, Steve N4IRS On 8/5/2016 7:40 AM, pisymbol . wrote:
Hello:
I have just installed the DIAL distro in a VM. Everything looks fine.
Will the URI dongle just work with it under a VM? I assume so, but I wanted to make sure there aren't limitations or gotchas before I go down this route.
Ideally, I'd like to connect an Alinco mobile unit via the URI as an asterisk sandbox/Allstar node. It is purely for learning/development purposes.
Does this seem reasonable?
Thanks!
