Should we be relying on the data that is collected by the 5 minute polls for authentication? By doing the authentication on stale data as is done by app_rpt/chan_echolink we are seeing that every iPhone connect is using a node number and callsign that is **NOT** that of the station connecting as the entry in the local DB is stale. I suspect that the windows version of echolink does a query when a station connects as it rarely has the wrong callsign for proxy users and does not take 5-10 minutes to allow connects from non-proxy clients.
