Can anybody test this on their node to see if it does the same thing? Just rename the functions stanza to functions_something and then rename functions = functions to functions = functions_something. Then see if you can remote control it from another node. I am running app_rpt version 0.325 10/19/2014 On Tue, May 31, 2016 at 8:01 PM, Skyler F <electricity440@gmail.com> wrote:
Node 1002 is a remote Allstar node on different hardware. In my case, I tried it on a few different public Allstar nodes but I am just using the numbers 1002 and 1001 as a generic example.

Skyler,
Okay about being connected and still no-go.
Are nodes 1001 and 1002 on the same host or different hardware?

David,
I do have the nodes connected together. The only difference is the name of the functions stanza.

Do you have node 1002 connected to 1001 before issuing the remote

from to 1001 from 1002? The nodes must be connected for remote commands to work.
Also, I don't think it's saying "I OWN COMMAND" ....Rather, it's saying:

Is this a bug or am I not supposed to do this in app_rpt? :
Under my node this works fine:
[1001] functions = functions
[functions] DTMF stuff here
IF I do this however,
[1001] functions = functionsVHF
[functionsVHF] DTMF stuff here
Everything works EXCEPT if I do a remote command from another node, so if I am on node 1002 and do *41001, it will say "I OWN COMMAND" but I can not execute any DTMF successfully. If I do *41999 *70, I don't hear Allison's pretty voice :-(
