Well, I don't think there is a way to control the squelch, so to control COR you use the VOX setting/carrierfrom=dsp(usbradio) & duplex=0(rpt.conf). authlevel = 0 : Anyone can use it ; authlevel = 1 : Requires log in, Waits for Tx key to ask for it ; authlevel = 2 : Requires log in, asks for it automously See http://ohnosec.org/drupal/search/node/remote%20base You can use a 706mkii but not a original 706 as the command set that is issued to the radio was written specific to the mkii and will not work on the original 706 without error. ...mike/kbjnm
I was reading about hf remote bases on the internet. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there on it. I did see the thr IC-706 and FT-897 are supported. I have the 897 and it really doesn't get much use. I think this would be a great way to get more use out of it.
Does anyone on this list currently do this? How do you control the squelch? Are you using an auto tuner? Or fixed frequency. Also I read you can create access control to prevent unauthorized use.
