Is VoIP over satellite really viable? The company I worked for a number of years ago did some VoIP over satellite Internet connections and the delays due to latency was so bad it simply wasn't a useable option for us. Has the technology changed in the last 10 years to make this doable? Anyone doing VoIP over a satellite Internet connection have some feedback, would be interesting to hear about? -------------------------------------------- On Mon, 2/2/15, Doug Crompton <doug@crompton.com> wrote: Subject: Re: [App_rpt-users] Asterisk RF Gateway via Satellite To: "Technology Frontier | TF. Hello App_Rpt Group, currently using Viasat's Exede for Internet services and need to find out how to set up a Asterisk RF Gateway proxy in order to alleviate the inbound connection problem (outbound initiated connections work great, inbound connections never make it past the NOC firewall). Would setting up a couple of private nodes at a server farm be beneficial? Thank You in advance.
