However, if a hub must be used, make sure it is rated at USB 2.0 High Speed. Some hubs are USB 2.0 compliant but are rated only at Full Speed (12Mbps) not High Speed (480Mbps). Do not connect any USB 1.x devices to either the same external hub or to the host computer’s internal root hub." Note the docs from the protector web site: Compatibility USB 1.1 (1.5Mbps) / USB 2.0 (12Mbps). Actual speed USB 1.1 (1.5Mbps) You might protect your USB device, but then it might not talk to your computer with this device inserted in the line. Bote
