Is there a way to create a node from the portal for re-installation? In other words, I have two nodes which were registered a long time ago. I need to re-install Asterisk before I can put them on the air. If I could use the already registered node numbers from a portal installation, that would save me a lot of time. Comments?

Excellent ! works like a champ! Thanks, guys. Also have created a couple of nodes from the portal and downloaded to the boxes. Its actually quicker then doing it the old way!
This is slick.

For all of you who need to move a node from one server to another, we now have the capability built into the portal.
See the 'Move Node To Another Server' in the 'Nodes' drop-down menu.

To use remote configuration and setup from allstarlink.org: You must migrate the nodes, then under node configuration -> radio interface set the node type to anything but register only, then go ahead and adjust all other node settings to your liking. When you do the new install, choose download the configuration files from the server (Y) and follow the instructions, and your system should now be remotely configurable from allstarlink.org. Manual configuration: Node should be set up for register only. Jot down to the node password in the yellow node information box. Install the software, done choose config file download (N), and edit the configuration files to your liking. Steve WA6ZFT
