Ireally do get audio, and have actually tester the node as I left it in service a few days despite the ripple. As for ALSA opposed to OSS I dont understand. I lile Ham radio although I'm new to Linux. The only help I've been able to offer will comes from the funny orange button at the Allstarlink.org site. Configured as a simplex node with a URI, connected to a second node, receivable with a service monitor, while injecting a 1khz tone at 3khz into node #1 receiver, the waveform on node #2 transmitter has a ripple. Reverse this test and the waveform on node #1 transmitter is clean. Using the exact hardware, conducting the same test with ACID centos5, and Xipar centos6, the waveform is remains clean. I am not experienced at this, but I took a long shot and recompiled the software with different channel drivers. The results were the same. I haven't seen much chatter about ACID Centos6, so I thought commenting on the findings may spark some interest.
