For those who might feel *really* brave, I have uploaded what I *think* *might* be a working ACID install CD iso that is based upon Centos 5.7 *not* whatever the current one (I think 5.6) is. This might be helpful for those trying to load ACID on a new computer that the old iso image did not come with network support for. the URL is as follows: http://stats.allstarlink.org/dl/installcd/acid57.iso I want to make it EXTREMELY CLEAR that: 1) I have never, ever built an ACID distro before (Steve WA6ZFT usually does this, and he wasnt around to ask how to do it). 2) It *seems* to successfully run on a virtual slice I have on my desktop. I have not tried it on any other platforms/systems. 3) Since I only was able to SWAG (scientifically random-ass guess) as to how to do it, it may just be DFW (dead wrong, the 'f', of course, is silent). With that said, I would appreciate it if at least someone (or ones) could at least give it a try (dont overwrite a working system, PLEASE) on a scratch disk (that would be harmless to trash).
