Could you say if your board is a true "Intel Atom" board or a Aftermarket board with a Intel Atom Chipset ? It does sound like a hardware address issue/PNP Bios/Firmware. ...mike/kb8jnm
Just an fyi, if anyone has run into this using the intel Atom boards...
Apparently the built in graphics, sometimes come up as a black screen on first boot - after install of DIAL.
lspci -nn |grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D2xxx/N2xxx Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0be2] (rev 09)
Apparently rev 09 is problematic - I have another machine with rev 0b
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D2xxx/N2xxx Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0be1] (rev 0b)
It works fine...
Found the solution here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2073727
i added to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf: blacklist gma500_gfx
ran sudo update-initramfs -u
73s
