This is one of the many reasons we publish schemtatics for these things: http://www.zapatatelephony.org/radio_interface/Rev%20C/ If you look, you will see that when polarity is FORWARD (receive mode), DC loop closure (provided by your interface) indicates COR activity to the FXS port. To transmit, the FXS port REVERSES polarity (and your interface needs to assure that the loop is closed at all times when the polarity is reversed, I suggest using 2 diodes, to isolate the tx from the rx circuits (depending upon polarity). If you want to build it yourself, please feel free to do so. We have not verified that the tdm24xxp drivers do this properly. I know the tdm400's do. If not please let me know. They should however, since the logic to drive each channel was directly ported from the older driver (supposedly). This could probably be easily done with a regular phone and a meter.

Ah ! Yes ? It is a good info ! I am wondering for that on a only one FXS port. What could be the config files examples in my case ? What exactly are the signals for PTT and COR ? I want to modify an existing HF transceiver phone patch, not use ARIB interface for that. Probably a loop closing for COR ? And may be a voltage presence or reversed polarity for PTT command ? If you describe it, I can interface myself my old military rig ;-)
For now, I have it on 7045.3 kHz LSB, but RX only, and a Rhode&Schwarz on 7080.0 kHz LSB. This two receivers are available via my Asterisk box from any HAM who want to ask me for an IAX2 account, or for your Asterisk network via an IAX2 trunk if you want.

Steve, huh? If you have a digium FXS port, and a simplex radio, you can use the port in E&M mode (it makes a DPO trunk) and fully implements COR and PTT (simplex audio) on a 2 wire port just fine.
using duplex < 2 in this configuration with an ARIB in 2 wire mode should work fine, and it it doesnt, we need to fix it.

We support simplex operation with the duplex= statement in the node block. Normally the default is duplex=2 which is a full duplex repeater. Duplex=0 is a simplex node with no telemetry, and duplex=1 is a simplex node with telemetry. Telemetry is command responses, ID's, etc.
For node use, app_rpt requires 2 FXS ports are required per node (one for TX and one for RX) Regardless if it is duplex or not.

E&M is just a placeholder for implementing COR and PTT signalling and only used with the quad radio PCI card.

I hope to start my radio link before the may 20th, due to a HAMfest in France with hudreds of HAMs. I will be pleased to annouce and show this first France/USA radio link with Asterisk boxes and your RPT application working.
For now, I have (too) few HAM's connected to my Asterisk box, chating together, but having only receivers access (2 HF RX on 7 MHz band).
If you want check my HF listening channels, I can give you an IAX2 account or we can create an IAX2 trunk immediatly that could be used later for our future radio link between our two countries.
