[App_rpt-users] Connecting to Nodes

Hi there folks, I have a nagging questions an I could not find the answer in the email archives. How in the world I connect to other nodes be it allstar or Echolink using asterisk CLI. Believe me I have tried doing it by typing the rpt fun and rpt cmd options but it will not connect. I currently have an HT with no dtmf pad so I must do it while connected remotely or in front of the PC. I type the commands in the interface but it fails to connect.
