Did you reload or restart asterisk after making the changes?

Did you do a rpt reload at the asterisk cli and you commented it out?

Even though, as a seasoned Linux guy (I don't know *everything* about Linux, but I know how to find what I need) and it goes against my Linux teachings, but I even (*gasp*) REBOOTED the node box, and have the same tone, after -all- of them were commented out in rpt.conf. Next?
