Re-posting of my message to the group which was accidentally formatted using HTML, my apologies. Greetings to the group, I've extensively reviewed the Allstar Link documentation but can't find a definitive answer to my question. Can Allstar be used with an interface such as the Rigblaster Nomic (PTT) in conjunction with an built in PC soundcard? Here is a link to the interface I am referring to: http://www.westmountainradio.com/pdf/nomicman4.pdf Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks to the group for all the informative technical information provided on the list. Regards, R. Hanssen
Allstar uses a USB "Sound Device" of YOUR choosing. Doesn't matter if it's a DMK URI or a RA-35 (these are pretty neat)...at that point is raw audio and a PTT and COS signal.Your RigBlaster is not going to provide that, but you can do it in DSP.... Robert, To answer your question. No, the Rigblaster Nomic can NOT be used with Allstarlink. Allstarlink uses usb sound channel drivers, these channel drivers only support very specific chip sets. Off the top of my head they are the following there may be more.
