Ordered the DMK URI (expected delivery MONDAY!) I think I got the grasp of most of the stuff. But my 2 questions 1st. CT (courtesy tones) I want CT to reflect where the signal came from. however I don't want them changing due to link state. ie RF is ALWAYS my nextel chirp. anything coming in from echolink is always my dit dit. and say anything coming in from an allstar connection would have say a 3tone up. anyway to define this? all I can find is about the ct changing depending on link state. 2nd. transmitted ctcss, I have a tone enc in the GE. however my enc drops after the ct, and the rest of the tx hang is non-pl'ed (cor drops -> 500ms to ct -> 250ms TX CTCSS drops -> 2500ms ptt drops) Is there any way to set this to where I can define when enc drops? Id like to use a pin on the URI so I can use my internal encoder. thanks.
well I got ACID installed, which went fine, pulled the data from server ok. but then this happens. Is this a brand new install? Is there a radio hooked to your sound card? I've run into this once where the COR pin was active high, thus disconnecting the DB25 caused it to think there was a signal on the input thus causing PTT. Are you using a DMK URI? Perhaps someone else who uses the DMK can answer you better than I who does not use one but, your options: ;carrierfrom=no ;carrierfrom=dsp ;carrierfrom=pp carrierfrom=ppinvert ;carrierfrom=usb ;carrierfrom=usbinvert ;carrierfrom=vox Im just guessing but what if that COS line is pushed to ground and not float open at 0v but grounded ? Go into the Asterisk client. Type - asterisk -rvvv - at the Linux prompt. You should see the 'hungup' status when you release the carrier - COR untrue - not when you key. If you are not seeing the hungup command with COS change then there is either something setup wrong or a hardware problem. At least in simpleusb.conf you either set carrierfrom= usb or usbinvert - usb is high +5 COS on signal and usbinvert is low (0V) on signal. It has to be a good low!!! Less than .5 volts and preferably close to 0V in that direction. If you can isolate the COS line and connect it to +5 and ground alternately you should see the hungup status in the client. If the logic is backwards the system thinks it is always keyed and will hold all output messages. Just a quick reply... It sounds lke your COS logic is backwards. Much dependent on your hardware set-up and how it is implemented in software. Look in usbradio/simpleusb .conf ...mike/kb8jnm
