There is a web site that has audio samples of all sorts of digital modes http://www.kb9ukd.com/digital/
That could help you identify what kind of digital noise you heard.

What digital mode is it being pass through? I can see this happening with AX.25 when someone has PL set, but for digital voice they don't use PL so if your repeater is using PL digital voice should not be passed thru the repeater.

I need to listen to it at home, I have too much noise at work to hear much but from what I hear so far almost sounds like as if someone's radio having issues. Was this just a one time thing? or it happens often? On 8/12/2015 4:15 PM, Loren Tedford wrote:

Digital transmissions should not be able to key up your repeater if your using PL/DPL as a channel guard. If your in carrier squelch on the RX input i can see digital transmissions keying the repeater. Not sure why you would be having this issue unless your in carrier squelch on RX. Are you running a dual mode repeater? On Wed, Aug 12, 2015 at 4:25 PM, Sione Ragle <ke6sth@ke6sth.ampr.org> wrote:
