The diode rectifies the noise to produce the RSSI. Obviously it’s important that all RTCM’s report accurate RSSI for voting. -- Tim WD6AWP

Third, what is the diode calibration? I've searched extensively for what its affect is and the exact procedure for doing it, but come up with nothing other than turning SW2-3 on will perform the diode calibration. Is the only requirement that the RTCM is powered up?
