Running into a connection fail every time I *3 a node. I tried multiple nodes with the same connection fail outcome. I read through literature on the issue, did as stated with no luck. I logged into my Supermon and my system is responding to the prompts as well as showing my Ptt-detected. Note if you look on Allstar it will show my node number in green BUT not highlighted in green, when you click on it you’ll see activity which of course is whatever activity I’m doing trying to figure this out. Any thoughts? Thank you Joe Cutrone K2OL Node# 46988 Sent from my iPad

Your node password is incorrect: [Mar 27 01:53:30] Host 108.41.61.124 failed MD5 authentication for '46988' Unless 108.41.61.124 is not your IP, then we may bigger problems :) Once you fix your node password based on what's in the portal you will register and then pull a rpt_extnodes file. That's from the log server showing someone attempting to register 46988 from that IP on the registration server. It's failing.
That’s not my IP address and my node shows something different.
What is your IP? Saying it shows something different and providing no data is not helpful. Are you not in NYC on fios? If that's not your IP please let me know and we'll blackhole it so it can't talk to the registration servers. 73's -- Bryan Fields 727-409-1194 - Voice http://bryanfields.net

We've given you a number of things to check to troubleshoot the problem and you've done none of them. It's likely a registration issue and a misconfiguration in your iax.conf file is the root cause. Reinstalling isn't going to net you anything if you are not willing to troubleshoot.

We've given you a number of things to check to troubleshoot the problem and you've done none of them. It's likely a registration issue and a misconfiguration in your iax.conf file is the root cause.
Reinstalling isn't going to net you anything if you are not willing to troubleshoot.
My ip starts with 192.
So do 16 million other IPs. I asked for your IP, not what it started with. Provide that and I'll be able to help you.

Joe, that's your internal address. You are behind some sort of NAT that's likely mapping that to a public IP address. We need to get the public IP, and ensure the UDP port 4569 is forwarded from the outside public address to your internal address of 192.168.1.14. If this is not forwarded properly, your connections will fail. So I bet your IP is likely 108.41.61.124, and your register= statement is incorrect due to the password errors we're seeing on the registration server. Please double check this. Unicast me your iax.conf and I'll take a look at it. 73's -- Bryan Fields 727-409-1194 - Voice http://bryanfields.net
Hi Bryan, I’m new to all this, how do I unicast? Also I went into my rpt.conf and saw my ip information reset itself, maybe from the update. So I put in my 192.168.1.14 ip in and yes the 108.41.61.124 is my public address so I put that in as well. Let me know how to unicast and I’ll send it over. Thanks for everything 73 Joe K2OL Sent from my iPad

First, it was stated earlier in this thread that this is a hamvoip node. Even though the Hamvoip distro is significantly different than AllStar, and diverging further with each release, we do our best to support all users. That said... Hi David and everyone else I finally got it. Note I’m below amateur at programming. It was exactly as everyone was saying my password in iax.conf was indeed wrong. Bryan, This user asking for support and several days hadn't resolved their issue. As a courtesy, I offered to help without cluttering the app_rpt-users list with usage-case specific problems. The resolution to his problem was simple, an incorrect registration password in the iax.conf file. If you'd rather I answer HamVoIP support questions on app_rpt-users, I certainly will. Otherwise, you need to bury your dead horse about this subject. Your continuing flame war only alienates AllStar users and tears down ASL. However, like others have mentioned to me, I'm beginning to think that's your goal. 73, David KB4FXC On Sun, 31 Mar 2019, Bryan Fields wrote:

Listen I don’t quite know what’s going on here for what looks to be an issue amongst a couple people. I hope you both can talk and find closer to such issue. If someone can get back to me on what software is good to use to operate Allstar otherwise I will not operate on Allstar.
