RoIP Net Database and Calender
In the interest of all... to better take advantage of RoIP networking connectivity, I am attempting to compose a internet database calendar system of "NETS" that are of interest to all. So everyone can be aware of nets occurring throughout all Radio over IP networks. This is to allow potential interested party's could tune-in to your node and more groups can listen or participate. For now it will be attached to the Lincoln Highway Link-Up website at lhlikup.com lhlinkup.com/roip-nets-calendar/ If it is successful, I will create a new website just for it. Sorry, we are only interested in nets that are of interest to anyone, anywhere. Please be kind in this regard. If you would like to list "your net" on this experimental system, If "YOU" are the node/network admin/ club officer for your group and If you would like to take the time and message me "OFF-LIST" / direct by replying to this. Nice idea, can you add a tag about the language in use on the net?Some nets are in other language then english, french and spanish come to mind.. so a place to tag language (maybe primary and secondary language would be nice..)

Great idea, here is my net: Colorado Amateur Satellite net. AllStar 40764. Also aired on the fun system, and RMRL repeaters 146.940, 449.875, and 449.825 repeaters. Time :7pm Mountain time, Thursday night, 1 hour of time allocated. Also on echoLink *amsat*. Website Amsatnet.info. I have more nets I know of coming. Should I just tell you AllStar or echoLink as well?

moto gm300s. all the signals show up on the 16 pin connector on the back at the right levels, and there is beaucoup info about them on repeater-builder.com and you'll need a duplexer. and URI. you can get useable gm300s for 50-75 each. I have quite a few 20 channel, 40 watt UHF Motorola M1225s that also would work great. I can program them too. All 1225s have 16 pin connectors on the back that are programmable. hate replying to myself...but i'm readin this on the idevice to me, driving decision is 'what do you want to accomplish?' 1. get your feet wet experimenting with allstar, URI interfacing, interconnecting radio sites, etc? You can build a reasonably workable local UHF system for under 500 if you already have the computer. It won't be a flame-throwing monster covering half the continental US, but it will get you in the game. couple gm300s, a flat pack 6 can duplexer (UHF), uri, some time...bingo. You're there. lots of experience with the radios, yeah they are getting up there, but good ones just keep chugging along, spares are plentiful, and if you hack a fan circuit together and drive it off a gpio pin on the uri, will keep the xmtr (don't run bollocks-to-the-wall power...you'd be surprised how well 30 or 35 w works...) nice and cool. 2. you already have experience with repeaters, allstar, can visualize signal transitions and audio waveform in your sleep? no limit to what you can drain your walket with. -- Bryan Sent from my iPhone 5...No electrons were harmed in the sending of this message.

I already have a working Allstar node (40290) and the URI dutifully turns on it's red light when it should :-) I even added a Grandstream FXO/FXS gateway (separate context for now) to Asterisk and my home phone/PSTN lines now go through the node. I do have experience with Asterisk - I built a few PBX systems for SOHO use years ago. So it is really down to learning how to interface the radios, set up a duplexor, and play :-) When I have enough experience I will choose an underserved band and put a production repeater up. 220 seems fairly under-served here in the So Cal area, so I am leaning towards a pair of Alinco 220 radios as it appears they are fairly inexpensive and interface easily - programming them is also apparently simpler than some of the 'older' equipment.
