Phones and Google Voice
I need to be pointed in the right direction on where to read how to do this or a little help. Is it possible to use my already established Google Voice account for auto patch on the repeater? Also I'd like to be able to have a few voip phones on my server. So I can dial an extension to monitor the repeater or dial an extension to call someone on my network. Outbound calling to a POTS line isn't needed.
The current version of ACID does not support google voice. I setup a raspberry pi with incredible PBX for the raspberry pi. Then setup an IAX trunk between you ACID box and the pi http://nerdvittles.com/?p=8178 On Mon, Dec 30, 2013 at 8:08 PM, Robert Newberry <N1XBM@amsat.org> wrote:

Forgot to answer the last statement. It is possible to setup just extension to extension calling. You can also setup to call your node. Take a look at the link www.kd3su.us/allStar/acid-sysadmin.pdf On Mon, Dec 30, 2013 at 8:08 PM, Robert Newberry <N1XBM@amsat.org> wrote:

Well after reading nerd vittles it appears Google voice is going buh-bye soon. I guess I'll have to S - can my obiha. I guess I'm going to need to read up more on VOIP and PBXs.
I have found this book most helpful on doing things beyond app_rpt : Asterisk: The Definitive Guide, 4th Edition http://shop.oreilly.com/product/mobile/0636920025894.do http://www.asteriskdocs.org/ With it's help I have extension to extension dialing, extension dial access to the repeaters, inter-site IAX trunking, informational extensions (weather and such), and conference bridges. Still learning. Still having fun. -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity and typing errors.
