I have found this book most helpful on doing things beyond app_rpt : Asterisk: The Definitive Guide, 4th Edition http://shop.oreilly.com/product/mobile/0636920025894.do http://www.asteriskdocs.org/ With it's help I have extension to extension dialing, extension dial access to the repeaters, inter-site IAX trunking, informational extensions (weather and such), and conference bridges.
