I understand that when the RTCM goes into fail-over / off-line mode and it becomes a simple repeater, and that all the local repeater audio delay goes away(confirmed), Is their a way to use the RTCM in this mode and not be "off-line" ? So we have the system behave normally (not off-line) but with no local repeater audio delay?(easier to duplex with no delay) I have been looking through the archives to find the thread as I was advised that this modification can / has been be done and it's in the archives somewhere, I just cant find it Or have I been miss informed? I think you will have to "front end" it with an inexpensive 2 port controller such as an NHRC-4 (available in kit form), an RC-100 or Linker II. Then you set the RTCM (and node) for simplex or duplex non-repeat. This is what I'm implementing right now with the NHRC. Gotta have duplex mobile!!! tnx Mike / W5JR Milton GA

RTCM duplex mode 3 support provides mobile full duplex as the repeat audio loops through the RTCM. It’s 100% analog with no delay what so ever. Get RTCM firmware 1.31 and look at menu item 18. Remember the set duplex=3 in your rpt.conf -- Tim :wq On Dec 22, 2013, at 4:16 PM, Mike/W5JR <w5jr.lists@att.net> wrote:
